UK Man Tom Armstrong Missing after Failing to Return from Thailand
KOH TAO – Police and family are growing increasingly concerned over the whereabouts of a 22-year-old who failed to board his flight home to Suffolk from Thailand.
Ko Tao is an island in Thailand located near the western shore of the Gulf of Thailand. It covers an area of about 21 kmTom Armstrong, 22, of Kelsale, left for Thailand in April last year to take up a dive master course on the island of Koh Tao.
He had been in contact with his family via email and Facebook, and told them he would be catching a flight home on Tuesday, January 8, arriving at Heathrow the following morning. However, he did not board his flight and has not been in contact since.
Tom’s family and police are concerned about his whereabouts and are appealing for any information that would indicate where he is, and that he is alive and well.
Tom is described as about 6ft 2in, of medium build with fair, slightly wavy medium length hair, and sometimes has a short beard, which is more red than fair in colour.
If anyone has information that could help police with their investigations they are asked to contact the Suffolk Police.
American surfer Brett Bean also still Missing?
In Phuket the parents of missing American surfer Brett Bean flew back to the US from Phuket last month, still hoping to be reunited with their son in the near future. Since Brett Bean, 43 was originally reported missing, his parents made the trip to Thailand in an effort to find clues that could lead to his discovery. At his bungalow, where he had pre-paid the next six months of rent to hold the place through the winter, there was laundry still hanging on a clothes line outside and inside police found his passport, a small amount of cash and flight departure information, according to the local newspaper the Phuketwan. Items that were missing included Bean’s wallet, motorcycle and cell phone, which was switched off on Nov. 27 – Read Story….
