Police Find Two Chinese Men Dead in a Chiang Mai Hotel Room in a Believed “Murder Suicide”
CHIANG MAI – Deputy superintendent Pol Lieutenant Paiboon Namthong reported to Thai Media on Friday that two Chinese tourists who were found dead in their Hotel room on Chang Khlan Road in Chiang Mai’s Muang district.
Pol Lieutenant Paiboon said that they believe that the two men died 2-3 days apart but couldn’t confirm the exact time until a forensic autopsy had been conducted.
The first victim identified as Qin Dianxiogm, 30, had a rope ligature mark around his neck and was found in bed, covered from the neck down with a blanket. Authorities believe he had been dead for two or three days before being found.a 10 0-metre-long nylon rope was found nearby on the floor by the bed.
The second victim identified as 29-year-old Sun Zhengbin was found hanging by the neck from the bathroom door, police believe he died about 10 hours before being discovered.
Their bodies were discovered after a maid who detected a bad smell coming from the room that had a “do not disturb” sign on the door since June 4th.
Police suspect the two friends might have had an argument and one strangled the other in a murder suicide, after sitting beside the body for days, the other man decided to commit suicide. “Yes a murder suicide”
