New Zealander Frank Brown Dies after Ramming into a Garbage Truck in Koh Samui

Franks Browns car had collided into the back of a garbage truck of Samui municipality

 

KOH SAMUI – Frank Brown a tourist from New Zealand has died in a road accident after he drove his car at high speeds into the back of a stopped garbage truck on the island of Koh Samui, Surat Thani province.

The garbage truck driver Apirak Duangmala 33,  told police officials that he had stopped his vehicle on the street while his team was collecting garbage, when he suddenly felt and heard the vehicle driven by Mr. Brown crash into the back of his garbage truck.

When Mr. Apirak rushed to the rear of his truck he found New Zealander Brown Frank, 65, dead with his face mangled, neck fractured, and had broken both legs. Police forensic officials at the scene said he died instantly

Mr. Aphirak has been charged with committing reckless act leading to death of other person as he had been stopped illegally while collecting rubbish.

Mr. Brown’s body was transported to  Koh Samui Hospita for autopsy to test for any presence of alcohol in his blood.

The Embassy of New Zealand in Bangkok has been informed about the incident in order to contact Mr. Brown’s relatives, Police said.
