33 Year-Old Australian Tourists Falls to his Death from Hotel Balcony in Phuket, Thailand

PHUKET – A 33 year-old Australian tourist has died after falling from the 4th floor balcony of his hotel room C&N Hotel on Ratuthit Songroipi Rd in Patong subdistrict, Kathu district in Phuket.

Pol Lt Col Batiwad Yodkwan said police and rescue volunteers from the Kusoldharm Phuket Foundation arrived at the scene and rushed the 33-year-old tourist identified as Daniel Jon Partridge to the nearby Patong Hospital.

Doctors pronounced him dead shortly later Thai media reported.

Police interviewed Gananek Janbubpa an employee of the  C&N Hotel who said that Mr Partridge had checked in to the hotel two days earlier on Friday, June 7, and was due to check out on Monday.

He told police that staff were notified that Mr Partridge has climbed on the balcony but had fallen down, or jumped, before the staff were able to reach him.

According to The Phuket News, one witness said they had seen the Australian climbing over a balcony at the rear of the building. Police are continuing their investigation.
