Pakistan Reports An Increase In New COVID-19 Cases

(CTN News) – According to the data released by the National Institute of Health (NIH), Pakistan continues to be hit by a slight increase in new COVID-19 cases. On Saturday, the country reported 151 new infections of the virus.

According to NIH statistics, the country’s positivity rate for the influenza virus has risen to 1.77% after 12,906 diagnostic tests were conducted in the last 24 hours.

Meanwhile, 58 patients with the infectious disease are in critical condition and were being treated in the ICU, according to the National Health Institute.

According to the district health officer, Islamabad has been the most affected city by the virus, as it registered a 3.06% positivity rate of Cases. According to him, 48 people tested COVID-19 positive for the virus in the past 24 hours.
