CHIANG RAI – Chief of Thoeng District Mr Sutthilak Rakcharoen, has told police motorists will not be allowed to drive their cars to Phu Chee Fah mountain top in Chiang Rai province during December 27-January 4 as a safety precaution.

Mr Sutthilak Rakcharoen, said however that tourists are able to visit the mountainous retreat, a very popular tourist destination of the province, by taking the public transport service provided by the national park office which charges 30 baht for a one-way trip.
.The public transport service time is from 4.30 am until 9 am for the trip to Phu Chee Fah. The park will close at 8.30 pm and loud noises are not permitted after 11 pm as they will pose a nuisance to the other people, said Mr Sutthilak.
Tourists are also advised not to litter and to collect trash near their tents.
