Two ChiangRai Hill Tribe Women Arrested for Drug Smuggling

BANGKOK – Two hill tribe women from Chiang Rai have been arrested at Don Mueang Airport with over 3,000 methamphetamine pills hidden in their vaginas, according to police. Immigration police on Wednesday received a tip that drugs was being transported from Chiang Rai to Bangkok.

3,473 speed pills packed in condoms and hidden in the women’s vaginas

Police stopped Anu Ma-Yer, 28, and Sukanda Chue-Mue, 26, after their flight landed at Don Mueang airport on Thursday.

A body search found a total of 3,473 speed pills packed in condoms and hidden in the women’s vaginas.

They admitted to have brought the drugs to Bangkok to deliver them to a dealer.

Police set up a sting operation and arrested the dealer, Sorapong Wongkam, 31, at a department store in Ramkamheang area with another 60,000 yaba pills.

According to Don Mueang police, another drug dealer was arrested last month with 6,000 yaba pills hidden in her private parts.

Police said drug dealers iare now using hill tribe women in this way.
