Police discovered two teddy bears filled with 20,200 pills

 

CHIANG RAI – Police Mae Ma checkpoint have arrested three young women after a police dog sniffed out over 20,000 pills stuffed in two large teddy bears.

Police were alerted to drugs in the vehicle by the police dog sniffed out the drugs after searching the rear trunk of the taxi.

The young girls told police that they were offered 500,000 baht if they could successfully transport the drugs to Prachinburi Province.

They three girls told police officials they brought the bears to a hotel in Mae Sai, where they were instructed to leave the bears in a room.

The young girls will be charged with possession of a narcotic substance with the intent to traffic, police official said the three young girls have agreed to cooperate which may lead to further arrests.
