Thai Animal Protection Group Protest against German Dog Killer

50 members of the Call for Animal Rights Thailand and Animal Lovers in Thailand gathered outside the embassy to pass a warning letter to Gert Alfred Grewe, 65, who was accused of killing a golden retriever last month

 

BANGKOK – A Thai animal protection group on Friday protested outside the German embassy in Bangkok against a German national  Gert Alfred Grewewho stabbed a dog to death last month.

About 50 members of the Call for Animal Rights Thailand and Animal Lovers in Thailand gathered outside the embassy to pass a warning letter to Gert Alfred Grewe, 65, who was accused of killing a golden retriever last month after it attacked his pet rottweiler.

Veena Jitassa, a spokeswoman for the group, charged that Mr Grewe had stabbed the dog 17 times and said they want him to under a mental examination.

On Nov,12, A 65 years old German guy living in Chonburi, Thailand named Mr. Gert Alfred Grewe owned a male Rottweiler. His dog and a Golden Retriever, QQ, a neighbor’s dog had a fight last month. After that day, he always walked his dog with a knife or gun. On Nov 12th, this German guy insanely stabbed the Golden retriever to death in front of its owner and madly swang his knife around so no one could help the dog and had to watch their dog die miserably with 17 stabbed wounds.

Sadly, Thailand has not had animal protection law yet. He was only fined for 1,000 Baht [30 USD] for this crime!!! All villagers said after the incident, this guy still did everything like nothing had happened and seemed satisfied. Everday, he will walk his dog and smile at QQ’s family. Plus, when the news was faded, on Dec 11, Mr. Gert Alfred Grewe had his attorney send a notice to QQ’s family that they had to pay him for his injury for 300,000 baht. On Dec 18, Mr. Gert Alfred Grewe denied all charges
