Police Seize More than 1.7 million Methamphetamine Pills from Northen Thailand

Police said they received a tip-off that a lot of yaba pills were being smuggled from northern Thailand

 

CHIANGRAI TIMES  – Thai police seized more than 1.7 million methamphetamine pills at a house in central province of Samut Sakhon, Bangkok Post online reported on Friday.

Police seized the drug which have an estimated street value of 500 million baht ($16.32 million) on late Thursday night and arrested four drug suspects in Samut Sakhon’s Krathum Baen district.

Police said they earlier received a tip-off that a lot of illegal pills were being smuggled from northern Thailand.

The four suspects told police the drugs hidden in the house were brought there by a major drug network in the North and they were to be sold to different areas in the country.
