BANGKOK – Ben King the New Zealand Ambassador to Thailand and his family today distributed 5,000 New Zealand apples to the public coming to mourn the passing of His Majesty the late King.

Tens of thousands of mourners came to Sanam Luang since early Saturday to pay respects to His Majesty before the Royal Urn and the late King’s body inside the Grand Palace’s Dusit Maha Prasat Throne Hall at Deva Phirom Gate.

Mr. Ben King, the New Zealand Ambassador to Thailand, who came to distribute 5,000 New Zealand apples to people who were mourning the passing of the late King Bhumibol Adulyadej.

The New Zealand Ambassador to Thailand coordinated with the Central Investigation Bureau to express loyalty to His Majesty the late King Bhumibol Adulyadej as he realized that all Thai people love His Majesty very much and the ambassador wished to take part in providing moral support to the Thai people by distributing New Zealand apples.

New Zealand Society Thailand members also distributed food and drinks to mourners at the Central Investigation Bureau Joint Administration Center, Ratchaworadit pier, Navy Club.
