PARISFrench President Francois Hollande warned on Tuesday that it would be a mistake for Europe to take in all refugees persecuted by Islamic State militants in Syria and Iraq, and called for a plan of action to ensure the Middle East’s diversity remained despite the mounting crisis.

About 60 countries, including ministers from Iraq, Jordan, Turkey and Lebanon, met in Paris on Tuesday to cement measures aimed at easing the return of refugees, encouraging regional governments to bring minorities into the political fold and ensure no impunity for crimes against humanity.

“It’s very difficult, but if all these refugees come to Europe or elsewhere, then Daesh has won the game,” French Foreign Minister Laurent Fabius told RTL radio, referring to the Arabic acronym for the Islamic State group.

“The objective [of this conference] is that the Middle East remains the Middle East, that means a region of diversity where there are Christians, Yazidis, etc.,” he said.

Financial Pledges

According to French diplomats, the conference should also see financial pledges that could be used to improve the situation of refugees in neighboring states, ranging from reconstruction of infrastructure to restoring basic services or training local police.

“There is a humanitarian urgency,” President Francois Hollande said at the opening of the conference.

“If we do not offer more help to the countries that welcome [refugees], if we do not give more support to the families that are in these refugee camps or are displaced in neighboring countries, then not only will there be tragedies… but there will be this exodus.”

Hollande said on Monday Paris would begin reconnaissance flights over Syria with a view to launching airstrikes against Islamic State targets.

France also plans to welcome some 24,000 Syrian refugees from camps in the Middle East over the next two years.

Meanwhile, UKIP leader Nigel Farage in the UK has warned that ISIS is using the refugee crisis as cover to flood Europe with terrorists.

He said there was a “sinister and dangerous” element to the growing crisis engulfing Europe. “When ISIS say they will use the migrant tide to flood Europe with 500,000 of their own jihadists, I think we better listen,” he declared.

“Five hundred thousand may not be realistic but what if it’s 5,000, what if it’s 500? And already one of the ISIS terrorist suspects who committed the first atrocity against holidaymakers in Tunisia has been seen getting off a boat on to Italian soil.

“At the moment the EU’s common asylum policy has absolutely no means whatsoever of checking anybody’s background and I would say we must not allow our compassion to imperil our safety.”

Farage was speaking at the London launch of his party’s Say No campaign for the referendum on Britain’s EU membership. He claimed that the vast majority of those making dangerous journeys into Europe were young males from Somalia, Mali, and Mauritania.

While “conditions may not be very nice” in those North African countries, he argued, “it’s very difficult to see how more than a few of those people qualify as refugees”.

He added: “The EU has got this wrong. Anybody that comes, from whatever background and virtually for whatever reason, can claim to be a refugee. If the European Union wants to help genuine refugees, they need to establish offshore centres and process people correctly, rather than inviting what has now turned into a headlong rush.”

Thousands of ISIS militants have found their way to Greece, Hungary, Germany, Holland …

According to Interpol who has thus far kept the information underwraps, at least few thousand mujahedeens which go under various names (Al Qaeda, ISIS, ISIL, Al Nusra….) have made their way to Europe.

One of the ISIS commanders in Syria, Lait Al Saleh (pictured above) easily boarded a ship to Athens posing as a refugee.

Interpol is baffled why British and German media repeatedly run stories of the “plight” of these refugees considering the fact many are actually terrorist who have committed heinous crimes across Syria, Lybia, Egypt and elsewhere.

It appears a shaved beard and a ‘thank you’ shirt qualifies one as a refugee.
