Chiang Rai Street Cleaner Praised for Good Deed

CHIANG RAI – A street cleaner in Chiang Rai City has returned a bag belonging to a British English teacher, and was praised for not accepting any reward.
Usa Taowkaew returned a lost bag containing 66,000 baht worth of belongings to its owner, English teacher Stephen Wide.
Usa Taowkaew said that she found Mr. Wide’s bag when she was cleaning the street in front of the old bus terminal.
In the bag, she discovered a camera along with other valuables. She then submitted the bag and the items to police officers, who successfully returned them to the owner.
Ms. Usa Taowkaew said that one should not expect any compensation from a good action, and every person can do the right things regardless of their status in the society.
The owner of the bag said that he realized that the bag was missing when he was having dinner with his brother in the evening, as his brother was supposed to bring the bag with him.
The bag owner confessed that he did not expect to have his bag returned, and admires the kindness and goodwill of Ms. Usa Taowkaew.
