Investigation launched after Liam whitaker found dead in Thailand

 

BANGKOK – The British Foreign & Commonwealth Office in Bangkok has confirmed the death of British National Liam Whitaker in Thailand.

Liam Whitaker, a former Helston Community College student, died this month while traveling  Thailand.

A spokesman for the FCO said “We were informed of the death of a British national, Liam Whitaker, on October 15 in Thailand. We are providing assistance to the family at this difficult time.”

It is understood that an official investigation has been launched into the circumstances surrounding the death, involving the police and the Home Office. Liam’s family said they were unable to comment at this time.

Liam is listed on his Facebook page as aged 24 and a former student of the University of Glamorgan, where he studied for a BSc in physical geography.
