American Shawn Vincent Kelly Arrested in Chiang Mai on Child Sex Offenses
CHIANG MAI – Police have arrested an U.S. Citizen, Shawn Vincent Kelly,57, with assistance from a non-governmental agency abroad for child sex offenses according to City News.
Chiang Mai Policed received reports from under age victims claiming that they had been sexually assaulted, and that the assaults had been videoed and posted online by a foreigner staying in the Santitham area of Chiang Mai.
Police searched Kelly’s condominium and discovered video clips of Kelly and underage boys having sex on his computer. His residence was also littered with female underwear and tins of rubber cement.
Accord to police, Kelly traveled to Chiang Mai as a tourist, but decided to stay longer, and has been living in the area since 2010.
Most of the victims were homeless underage boys from the Tha Pae area and internet cafes. Victims reported that Kelly paid the boys between 300 and 500 baht each time.
