Before the incident, Mr Beger said, the couple had gone out to have a meal and drank some wine on Sukhumvit Soi 1 in Bangkok.  On their way home they had got into a quarrel, Berger said his wife threatened to jump to her death when she arrived but he thought she wasn’t serious as she was drunk.

Police and forensic officers inspected the room. They plan to examine footage of a closed-circuit television camera and further interrogate the German man and other witnesses.

Her body was sent to a forensic institute for post-Morten examination to find out the cause of death.
