Vin Diesel “Categorically Denies” #Metoo Sexual Assault Allegations

XXX Star Vin Diesel has “categorically denied” his former assistant’s complaint in which she accuses the “Fast and Furious” star of sexual abuse based on an alleged encounter in September 2010.

In a shocking complaint published by Vanity Fair on Thursday, Diesel’s assistant Asta Jonasson alleges the actor, actual name Mark Sinclair, summoned her to his suite at the St. Regis hotel in Atlanta after returning from the club with hostesses.

The suit, filed in Los Angeles Superior Court on Thursday, claims Diesel assaulted Asta Jonasson in the St. Regis Hotel after a night of apparently hard drinking with hostesses he met at a neighboring club.

Jonasson claims that when the other ladies left, the “XXX” actor grabbed her wrists and dragged her onto the bed.

Ms. Jonasson stated that she felt helpless, that her self-esteem had plummeted, and that she questioned her own abilities and whether a successful profession would force her to trade her body for development.

She claims that after only two weeks on the job, Samantha Vincent, Vin Diesel’s sister and the president of his film company, called to terminate her.

“It was clear to her that she was being fired because she was no longer useful — Vin Diesel had used her to fulfill his sexual desires and she had resisted his sexual assaults,” according to the lawsuit.

Meanwhile, Vin Diesel’s lawyer has stated that the XXX Star “categorically denies” Jonasson’s sexual assault charges.

“Let me be clear: Vin Diesel categorically denies this entire claim.” This is the first time he has heard of this more than 13-year-old claim made by a supposedly nine-day employee. “There is abundant evidence that completely refutes these ridiculous allegations,” he wrote.

Jonasson is also claiming sex/gender discrimination, intentional infliction of emotional distress, a hostile work environment, wrongful termination, and retaliation.

The suit claims that Diesel and One Race attempted to cover up the alleged incident and that Jonasson “has suffered and continues to suffer humiliation, emotional distress, and mental and physical pain and anguish.”

With the 10-film Fast & Furious franchise grossing more than $7 billion for Universal since its debut in 2001 through this year’s Fast X, there are clearly significant stakes at risk for Diesel and the series.

Vin Diesel is an American actor known for his roles in action films such as the “Fast & Furious” franchise and “xXx.” Born Mark Sinclair, Vin Diesel gained fame for his tough-guy persona and muscular physique. “xXx” is a 2002 action film in which Diesel plays the character Xander Cage, an extreme sports enthusiast turned secret agent. The movie’s success contributed to Diesel’s status as a leading action star in Hollywood.
