BANGKOK – The spotlight is on Bangkok Suvarnabhumi International Airport because of the endless complaints laid against their taxis for many years.

Complaints range from the minuscule moans about taxis being unclean, to the more serious allegations of being ripped off and badly treated.

Passengers have come forward to authorities time and time again, detailing situations where they have experienced fake meter fixes, unnecessary detours, exorbitant prices and abusive behaviour from drivers.

People are now asking for the police and the Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT) to take action and end their complacency, as it is damaging to Bangkok and the rest of the country’s image.

However, there are now a few other ways people can be heard if they feel that the local authorities are not responsive. You can get in touch with Thai Taxi Complaint on twitter, or Taxi Reporter on Facebook. – City News Chiang Mai
