KOH SAMUI – Surat Thani Police Commander Pol Maj Gen Apichart Boonsriroj has reported that two women and a man all Myanmar Nationals have been arrested and charged with the murder of a Myanmar woman whose partially clad body was found at an ocean lookout on Koh Samui on Monday.

The murdered Myanmar woman’s body was found Monday with her mouth and nose sealed by several layers of duct tape.

Pol Maj Gen Apichart Boonsriroj said told the Bangkok Post that the three suspects had confessed to conspiring in the murder of 22-year-old Sor Ngae Ngae.

Charged are two maids – Saw Nay Way, 32, Tan Tan Sow, 31 – and shop assistant Fiew Min Tui, 25.

Saw Nay Way told police she was angry because the victim had flirted with her younger brother even though she already had a boyfriend.

Police said they had tracked the suspects through a mobile phone prepaid card, finding the convenience store that sold it.

Police also tracked down the shop that sold the energy drink and duct tape found at the murder scene.

Say Nay Way said she hired Tan Tan Sow and her brother for 30,000 baht to plan the murder. The man bought the duct tape and rubber gloves found at the scene, while the two women asked the victim to join them at dinner.

The three women later went to the viewpoint where they continued chatting. Say Nay Way called her brother who then strangled the victim until she was unconscious. All of them carried the woman to the spot where she was found and covered her mouth and nose with the duct tape so she could not breath and died.

The two women then stripped off some of Sor Ngae Ngae’s clothing to make it look like rape and murder before fleeing the scene.

When police took the three suspects to to the crime scene to re-enact the murder, about 30 Myanmar people were waiting to watch them.
