Permanent Secretary for Culture Pritsana Pongthatsirikul said that during Chinese Minister of Culture Cai Wu’s recent meeting with Prime Minister Yingluck Shinawatra and his Thai counterpart Sonthaya Khunpluem in Bangkok, both sides agreed to set up a center to provide Chinese citizens information about the Thai cultural heritage and traditions. The move is set to strengthen cultural ties between the two countries, in addition to robust bilateral trade relations.

The ministry has appointed a working group comprising experts in Thai culture and representatives from state agencies to outline components of the cultural center.
