Thai Media Led on Tour at Mae Fah Luang–Chiang Rai International Airport

Press members were led on a tour to Chiang Rai international airport which has been praised as the best of the Airports of Thailand (AOT) in 37 years.

CHIANG RAI – Mae Fah Luang–Chiang Rai International Airport director of Special Affairs and Media Relations Division of Suvarnabhumi airport, Anoma Phalinsut, led over 30 press members and public relations officers to observe operations of Chiang Rai international airport in the northernmost province.

Chiang Rai Mae Fah Luang international airport director Itthiphorn Boonari pointed out the rapid growth of the airport which covers an area of 3,326 rai of land or about five square kilometers.

It was officially opened on August 5, 1992, and has continually been developed since. The number of tourists visiting Chiang Rai province has increased yearly with more preferring air travels.
