Perverts Crying, Police Seize 10 Million Baht in Sex Toys and Drugs
BANGKOK – Department of Special Investigation (DSI) officers seized love drugs and sex toys worth about 10 million baht from a warehouse and seven stalls near Yaowarat in Bangkok, said DSI chief Tarit Pengdit.
Police arrested six suspects for unlicensed drug distribution. Most of the pills were imported from China and were sold at low prices, said Mr Tarit.
He said officers found several bottles of aphrodisiac drops and drugs known as “Spanish Fly”, used to increase sexual desire.
Paisarn Puangniyom, the secretary of the Food and Drug Administration (FDA), warned that people should consult with doctors before using “love drugs”. He said that using low-quality, unprescribed aids to sexual performance can be dangerous and even fatal.
Mr Paisarn said a lot of unprescribed love drugs sold on the street are fake and that bottles labelled as aphrodisiac drops are usually filled mainly with water.
Police have to confiscate such drugs and examine them since they are not registered with the FDA.
