Police Arrest Bus Passenger with 2 Kilos of Crystal Meth or “Ya Ice”, Mae Chan District, Chiang Rai

Police found nearly 2 kilos of ya ice in a baggage compartment.

 

CHIANG RAI  – The police have made an arrest of a man traveling from Chiang Rai northern province to Bangkok with nearly 2 kilos of crystal meth or “ya ice”.

According to the police, the man was arrested not long after the bus he was taking from Mae Chan district, Chiang Rai, was intercepted for inspection. The police who were acting on an intelligence tip, then searched the bus and its passengers to find 4 cereal boxes packed with nearly 2 kilos of ya ice in a baggage compartment.

The drug belonged to a 36-year-old passenger who confessed that he took the drug from the Thai-Myanmar border and intended to deliver it in Bangkok.- (NNT)
