'Meghan Markle And Prince Harry' Netflix Documentary Release Date Revealed

(CTN NEWS) – Netflix series starring Meghan Markle and Prince Harry is coming soon.

On Dec. 8, Netflix will begin streaming Volume one of Harry & Meghan, the six-episode docuseries featuring the Duke and Duchess of Sussex. Streaming of volume two will begin on December 15.

A first look at the documentary series will reveal the highs and lows of the couple’s relationship. ‘It’s difficult to look back now ‘and say, “What the hell happened?“,” Harry says in a new trailer released along with the premiere date.

Harry continues, “There’s a hierarchy in the family.” “There’s leakage, but there’s also planting of stories.”

“This is a dirty game,” he said.

Harry says, “The pain and suffering of women marrying into this institution – this feeding frenzy,” as footage shows Princess Diana and Kate Middleton being photographed.

Afterward, Meghan says, “I realized they wouldn’t protect you.”

Harry says about his late mother, Princess Diana, “I was terrified. I did not want history to repeat itself.”

The prince adds, “No one knows the whole truth.” “We do.”

Liz Garbus, who directed Love, Marilyn, What Happened, Miss Simone? is behind the project.

The Netflix series explores the clandestine days of their early courtship and the challenges that led them to leave their full-time jobs.

“This series does more than highlight a couple’s story. It paints a picture of our world and how we treat one another by bringing in commentary from friends and family who have never shared their experiences publicly.

And historians who examine the state of the British Commonwealth and the royal family’s relationship with the press.”

In September 2020, Meghan, 41, and Harry, 38, signed a multi-year deal with Netflix.

It was reported at the time that Archewell Productions would exclusively create documentaries, docuseries, feature films, scripted shows, and children’s programming for the popular platform.

Meghan spoke briefly with Variety in October about the documentary.

“We appreciate being able to trust someone with our story – someone whose work I have long admired – even if it isn’t how we would have told it, “the Archetypes host said of working with Garbus.

“That’s not why we’re telling it. We’re trusting someone else with our story, which means it will be filtered through their eyes.”

“It’s interesting. My husband has never worked in this industry,” she said, referring to the entertainment industry. “For me, having worked on Suits, it’s amazing to see how people work together and share their perspectives.”

When Meghan was asked if the upcoming special would cover their love story, she remained similarly vague.

“I’m not trying to be cagey,” she said at the time, praising Garbus’ accomplishments.

‘Since I don’t read any press, I don’t know what’s confirmed. However, Liz Garbus is amazing.”

The Invictus Games in The Hague in April were filmed for a feature on the prince’s adaptive sports tournament for injured, sick and wounded service personnel.

The Invictus Games Foundation announced in April 2021 that Archewell Productions would produce a Netflix docuseries about the event.

The project‘s working title, Heart of Invictus, would follow athletes preparing for the 2022 Games in The Hague.

Prince Harry’s memoir is set to hit shelves on Jan. 10, 2023, so it will be a busy winter for the Duke and Duchess of Sussex.

The publisher Penguin Random House confirmed late last month that Harry will share his story in Spare, a 416-page memoir where he reflects with “raw, unflinching honesty.”
