Luka Doncic Achieves Incredible Feat In Suns vs. Mavericks Game.

(CTN News) – Luka Doncic, the Dallas Mavericks superstar, achieved the remarkable milestone of scoring 10,000 points during the Christmas Day finale against the Phoenix Suns.

Doncic accomplished this feat in the fewest number of games since Michael Jordan, reaching the milestone in his 358th career game.

According to ESPN, this ties him with Hall of Famer Bob McAdoo for the seventh-fewest games needed to achieve this accomplishment. Wilt Chamberlain holds the record for achieving 10,000 points in the fewest games, requiring only 236.

Other players who reached this milestone in fewer appearances than Luka Doncic include Jordan, Elgin Baylor, Kareem Abdul-Jabbar, Oscar Robertson, and George Gervin.

At the age of 24 years and 300 days, Luka Doncic becomes the sixth-youngest player to reach 10,000 points, following in the footsteps of LeBron James, Kevin Durant, Kobe Bryant, Carmelo Anthony, and Tracy McGrady.

Luka Doncic managed to achieve the milestone of 10,000 points in just 7 minutes and 8 seconds into the game, despite starting with an 11-point deficit.

He accomplished this with an impressive 34-foot 3-pointer at the 4:52 mark of the first quarter, which ESPN reported as his longest field goal of the season.

In a separate game, Jamal Murray and Nikola Jokic put on a remarkable performance in the Denver Nuggets’ 120-114 victory over the Golden State Warriors on Monday. The New York Knicks also caused an upset by defeating the Milwaukee Bucks in the NBA’s Christmas slate.

Murray contributed 28 points, while Jokic, a two-time NBA Most Valuable Player, made up for a poor shooting day by going a perfect 18-for-18 at the free-throw line. This helped the reigning champion Nuggets extend their winning streak to five games.

Despite Jokic only making four of his 12 field goal attempts, he finished with 26 points, along with 14 rebounds and eight assists.

His left-handed basket with 5:16 remaining in the game secured the lead for the Nuggets, and he further emphasized their dominance with a dunk that extended the lead to 118-112 with 34.2 seconds left.

The Warriors entered the competition with an impressive five-game winning streak. However, their star player Stephen Curry had a disappointing performance, only scoring four points in the first half and a total of 18 points throughout the game, shooting seven-of-21.

Curry struggled from beyond the arc, making only three of his thirteen attempts from three-point range. He did manage to contribute with four assists.

Andrew Wiggins, representing Canada, played a Luka Doncic crucial role in keeping the Warriors in the game by scoring the highest number of points for the team with 22 points coming off the bench.

Despite his efforts, the combination of Murray and Jokic, who led the Nuggets to their first-ever title last season, proved to be too strong for the Warriors in the end.
