Formula 1 2024 Season Review

Last year, Max Verstappen and Red Bull dominated the year, but what awaits us this year?

M. Verstappen has dominated the past three F1 seasons. The Dutch racer won the last three Formula 1 competitions (2021, 2022, 2023) and is a clear favourite to four-peat. Below, we highlight how M. Verstappen improved his points totals throughout the years.

  • 2021 – 413.5 (+199,5) – compared to 2020
  • 2022 – 454 (+40,5)
  • 2023 – 575 (+121)

However, let us glance at how much the racer has led at the end of each F1 season. The numbers significantly improved.

– 2021

  • #1 Max Verstappen 413.5 (+26)
  • #2 Lewis Hamilton 387.5 (-26)

– 2022

  • #1 Max Verstappen 454 (+146)
  • #2 Charles Leclerc 308 (-146)

– 2023

  • #1 Max Verstappen 575 (+290)
  • #2 Sergio Pérez 285 (-290)

Formula 1 2024 Season Review – Contrasts

There is only one hope for the F1 tournament – there is more drama throughout the year. M. Verstappen and his team, Red Bull, destroyed every single challenger. We might expect something similar again, but we will get into details later.

Before the 2024 F1 season, Sauber has rebranded as Stake F1 Team for the upcoming two seasons (2024, 2025) due to the sponsorship deal ending with Alfa Romeo in 2023. Sauber has revealed their new logo for its Formula One team. Nevertheless, in 2026, they will make yet another transformation into the Audi Works.

Sauber is one of three teams to have its headquarters not in the UK. They operate from a base in Hinwil, Switzerland. Ferrari and Red Bull junior team AlphaTauri are both based in Italy. AlphaTauri, Red Bull’s junior team, will also have its name changed in 2024, with the team wanting to return to a non-branded title. However, there is no rebrand news yet.

Overall, there will not be many tremendous shifts heading into the 2024 F1 season. But we can be sure that the new record-breaking 24-race calendar will make this the most prominent year for the championship ever.

F1 2024 Review – Forecast

As all Formula fans would say, it is not as hard to predict the F1 winner as in other sports tournaments. M. Verstappen is the main star and will likely win his fourth in-a-row title. McLaren is one of the biggest competitors to overtake Mercedes and Ferrari in the overall standings. Last season, the fight between the sides was intense, except for Red Bull.

  • #1 Red Bull – 860
  • #2 Mercedes – 409
  • #3 Ferrari – 406
  • #4 McLaren – 302
  • #5 Aston Martin – 280

We can expect something similar this year, especially after McLaren inked Lando Norris to a long-term contract. “It’s a great feeling to remain here,” said Norris, who entered the McLaren family as a junior driver in far 2017. “I’ have grown up with McLaren and feel at home here – the team are like family to me.

A few days ago, F1 revealed that Madrid will join the F1 family in the 2026 season. The Spanish GP will take place in Madrid from 2026 after the capital city signed a 10-year contract to host a race. The organizers will build the circuit around the IFEMA Madrid convention centre. There are rumours that 90% of fans will be able to reach the track via public transport.
