Election Commission of Pakistan has ordered re-polling in NA-88, PS-18

(CTN News) – As a result of alleged election rigging on February 8, the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) has ordered re-polling at specific polling stations in NA-88 (Khushab II), PS-18 (Ghotki I), and PK-90 (Kohat I).

The Election Commission of Pakistan spokesperson announced re-polling at 26 polling stations in NA-88 following reports that a mob set fire to polling material at the returning officer’s office. The re-poll is scheduled for February 15.

There is also a re-poll scheduled for February 15, resulting from allegations that unidentified people had confiscated polling materials in PS-18.

Additionally, the Election Commission of Pakistan announced that 25 polling stations will be re-polled in response to the damage caused by terrorists to the polling material in PK-90, which led to the re-polling.

Additionally, the ECP has requested a report from the district regional officer within a short period regarding the alleged vandalism at one polling station in NA-242 (Karachi Keamari-I).
