The man threatened her with a knife and raped her twice

LAMPANG – Police on Saturday night rescued a disabled 18-year-old woman who was misled into thinking that she would be given work in Bangkok. Police said the Chiang Rai woman, whose name was withheld, told police that a man who called himself Eke approached her in Phayao Province and asked her if she wanted to work in the capital.

After she agreed, Eke took her to meet a middle-aged man in a motel room in Lampang’s Muang district. The man in the room conned her into believing that he would take her to Bangkok.

Later, the man threatened her with a knife and raped her twice, she said.

The woman said she later managed to escape and cried for help. Villagers in the area heard her scream and came to help her.

Police were tracking down the two men and said one of them was an owner of a medical company in Bangkok.
