Chrysler 300C's 485-HP Swan Song: The 2023 Model

(CTN News) _ The Chrysler 300’s production will end next year, but not before the company sends it off in style.

A limited-edition model of the Chrysler 300C, which debuts at the 2022 Detroit Auto Show on Tuesday, is powered by a 6.4-liter Hemi V8.

Think of this as Chrysler’s resurrection of the old 300 SRT8, a model it discontinued in the US but continued to offer abroad.

With 485 horsepower and 475 pound-feet of torque, this big sedan can hit 60 mph in 4.3 seconds.

With four-piston Brembo front brakes, a limited-slip rear differential, adaptive suspension damping, and all-season tires, the 300C rides on unique 20-inch wheels.

Other than those wheels, the exterior changes are limited to model-specific badges on the grille and rear deck lid. Only black, white, and dark red are available.

The seats are trimmed in black leather with embossed 300C logos, and the cabin features carbon-fiber accents.

All 300Cs will be equipped with lane-departure warning, a 19-speaker Harman Kardon audio system, heated and ventilated front seats, and Chrysler’s 8.4-inch Uconnect touchscreen infotainment system.

In the US, only 2,000 examples of the 300C will be sold, with 200 more available in Canada.

Chrysler’s dedicated website shows the sedan will have a $55,000 MSRP, which likely excludes the mandatory destination fee.

It’s roughly a $5,000 jump over the current 300S, which has a less powerful 5.7-liter V8. However, neither will last long, so grab one now.
