CHIANG RAI – Geologists have gone down to survey several earthquake-stricken areas in Chiang Rai Province in order to conduct studies on seismic waves.

Mineral Resources (DMR) have been dispatched to inspect the ground areas at the Huay Son Yao school at Mae Lao District, Chiang Rai Province.

The school has been badly damaged by the earthquake on May 5th, which caused a number of buildings to crack. Some areas of the school have been declared hazardous zones.
