Inventions that won awards included a drug cabinet made of popsicle sticks, coconut shell lamps

CHIANG RAI – The Office of Natural Resources and Environment in Chiang Rai province awarded citizens in a trash recycling competition that encourage the public to participate in environmental management.

The competition, held under the theme Reduce, Reuse & Recycle, featured different categories of inventions, where participants brought their innovative ideas to life. Contestants were required to come up with trash-derived products with real-world applications.

Inventions that won awards included a drug cabinet made of popsicle sticks, furniture made of used cans, cushions made of plastic bottles, a coconut shell lamp and a shirt made of used materials.
