Buffalo Bills Are Dethroned By Jacksonville Jaguars In London

(CTN News) – In preparation for a long flight back to Western New York, the Buffalo Bills are leaving London empty-handed.

Due to a lack of offensive production and a defense that faltered in the fourth quarter, the Buffalo Bills lost their second game of the season to the Jacksonville Jaguars at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium on Sunday.

In contrast to a Jaguars team that looked confident after spending the past week in Europe,

The Buffalo Bills(3-2) were far too inconsistent.

Despite some impressive third-down throws by Jacksonville quarterback Trevor Lawrence, he finished 25 of 37 passing for 315 yards and one touchdown.

Josh Allen had a stellar statistical day, completing 27 of 40 passes for 359 yards, three touchdowns, and one interception.

The Jags’ Travis Etienne Jr. had one of the most impressive games of his young career, rushing 26 times for 136 yards and scoring two crucial, game-changing touchdowns. A total of four catches for 48 yards were added by him.

Approximately 30 seconds remain in the opening quarter before the Bills pick up their first first down.

This game was decided by a stout Jags defense, which caused a surprisingly shaky Buffalo Bills offense to struggle to find any rhythm for most of the game, which caused Buffalo to play catch-up for most of the game.

The Buffalo Bills finally broke through in the first half after Allen connected with Stefon Diggs for a 15-yard touchdown to cut the Jaguars’ lead to 11-7 at halftime.

As a result of Sean McDermott’s defense, the Buffalo Bills were able to rebound from their disappointing first half and stay in the game.

Despite a solid day overall, Jacksonville’s defense ultimately faltered in the final minutes of the game, as Etienne Jr.’s 35-yard rushing touchdown made it 25-13 and effectively sealed the victory for them.

Aside from 11 points in the first quarter, the Jags were held scoreless until Etienne scored on a six-yard touchdown to cap off a 93-yard drive in the fourth quarter.

Despite the defense’s solid performance, the unit fell flat in the fourth quarter as the Buffalo offense was unable to sustain drives, allowing Jacksonville to run 82 total plays as opposed to 54 for Buffalo.

Initially, it appeared that Ed Oliver’s strip sack of Lawrence marked a significant turning point in the second half. Despite a lengthy 17-play drive, the Jags were unable to score in the red zone.

There was a sense of urgency that set in for the Buffalo Bills, and they responded quickly as a result. A 19-yard touchdown pass from Allen to Gabe Davis with four minutes to play cut the lead to 18-13 after Allen connected with Davis for a 19-yard touchdown.

In spite of the fact that Buffalo had a last-gasp possession to end the game, this was the last realistic hope Buffalo had in its favor.
