Briton Falls to His Death in Pattaya Four Ladyboys Face Charges

PATTAYA – Four lady-boys (Transgender Women) have been arrested by Pattaya police in connection with the death of a British tourist Naami Keyghobadi, 28.
Naami Keyghobadi, from the UK fell from the fourth floor of the guest house where he had been staying, and later died from his injuries at hospital.
The four lady-boy’s told Pattaya police an argument had broken out over fees the man owed them for ‘sexual services’, and claim the man had jumped.
Police also recovered what was suspected to be crystal methamphetamine from the third-floor room. All four transvestites failed drug tests, police said.
However, police at the popular beach resort say they are not convinced that Mr Keyghobadi’s death was an accident.
Mr Keyghobadi was found with severe injuries in an alleyway around 7.30pm on Tuesday, and he was taken to the Bangkok-Pattaya hospital where he later died.
Police arrested four transgender women all of whom tested positive for methamphetamine’s, local media reports.
At least two of the women were sex workers, and according to one of them, Mr Keyghobadi had ‘bought sexual services,’Bangkok Post reports.
Patchara Chaihongsa, 33, told police the two prostitutes had followed Mr Keyghobadi to his third-floor flat where they had an argument over fees.
Ms Patchara claims Mr Keyghobadi had then exited the flat, followed by the sex workers, and headed to upstairs, where they continued to argue.
Ms Patchara, who lives on the fourth floor, said she had opened the door to ‘investigate the commotion’, after which Mr Keyghobadi ‘stormed in, headed straight to the window and began to climb out.’
Ms Patchara and the three other women remain in police custody, but no charges have been brought in connection to Mr Keyghobadi’s death.
‘There are witnesses who said he fell down on his own, but we are not convinced,’ Col. Anukul Preedayuth of the Pattaya City Police Station said in a statement.
‘We are looking for more witnesses and evidence. The matter is under investigation.’
The British Embassy and UK Foreign Office have been informed of the incident.
A Foreign Office spokesperson said: ‘We are providing support to the family of a British national who died in Thailand on 15 December, and are also in contact with local authorities regarding the death.’
