Bahrain Administers Pfizer XBB 1.5 Booster Shots Against COVID-19 And Variants.

(CTN News) – The Kingdom of Bahrain has taken a significant step in the global battle against COVID-19 by offering its residents access to the Pfizer XBB 1.5 booster shots.

These booster shots, developed by Pfizer-BioNTech, are designed to combat both the original strain of the virus and its new variants.

The Ministry of Health in Bahrain has officially announced that the Pfizer XBB 1.5 vaccines are now available at primary healthcare centers throughout the country. In order to simplify the vaccination process and make it more convenient for the public, the Ministry has implemented a unique approach.

Effective immediately, individuals who wish to receive the Pfizer XBB 1.5 booster shot can directly visit the designated health centers without the need for prior online registration or appointment booking.

The expansion of the Pfizer XBB 1.5 booster shots to different health centers aims to ensure convenient access for individuals aged 12 and above.

By offering these shots at various locations such as the Bank of Bahrain and Kuwait Health Center in Hidd, Jidhafs Health Center, Sitra Health Center, Youssef Engineer Health Center, and Mohammed Jassim Kanoo Health Center, residents will have multiple options to receive their booster shots.

These health centers will operate from 07:30 am to 07:00 pm, providing extended hours to accommodate individuals’ schedules. This wide time frame allows residents to choose a suitable time to visit the centers and receive their booster shots without any inconvenience.

Moreover, the Ministry of Health has taken a step further by expanding its vaccination campaign to include younger individuals aged 5 to 11. Starting from December 27, this age group will have the opportunity to receive the Pfizer XBB 1.5 booster shots at selected health centers.

These centers include the Halat Bu Maher Health Center, Hamad Kanoo Health Center, and Shaikh Jaber Al Ahmed Al Sabah Health Center.

By including younger individuals in the vaccination campaign, the Ministry of Health aims to protect COVID-19 for a wider age range.

This expansion ensures that even the youngest members of the community have access to the necessary booster shots to strengthen their immunity against the virus.

Overall, the availability of booster shots at different health centers and the inclusion of younger individuals in the vaccination campaign demonstrate the government’s commitment to safeguarding public health and controlling the spread of COVID-19.
