Australian Ambassador Paul Robilliard and Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Gen Tanasak Patimapragorn

 

BANGKOK – Australian Ambassador to Thailand Paul Robilliard has met with Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Gen Tanasak Patimapragorn, expressing interest to raise the level of trade and investment between both countries.

Ambassador Robilliard told Deputy Prime Minister and Gen. Tanasak Patimapragorn that Australia was preparing to send a business delegation to Thailand to explore opportunities to promote bilateral trade and investment.

Ambassador Robilliard also told the Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister that Australia considered Thailand as the center of ASEAN and attached much importance to the country which was the eight biggest trading partner of Australia.

In the meeting, Gen Tanasak invited Australian Foreign Minister Julie Bishop to visit Thailand and co-chair the 2nd meeting of the Thailand-Australia Joint Commission (JC) which Thailand is chairing for the first half of 2015. –
