Aaron Judge Hits 2 Home Runs In 1 Season, First Yankee To Do It

(CTN News) – In the seventh inning of Friday night’s game against the Arizona Diamondbacks, Aaron Judge became the first New York Yankees player in history to hit three home runs in one game twice in one season.

In the wake of New York’s 7-1 victory, Judge said, “It’s incredible.”. “You see all the players who have been through here, the retired numbers, but I simply tried to perform my duties.”

In the third inning, Judge hit a three-run homer, and in the fifth, he hit a two-run shot off rookie starter Brandon Pfaadt. As he reached the second deck in right field with a solo shot off Slade Cecconi, the slugger added his third home run of the night.

As Yankees manager Aaron Boone explained, “greatness is doing special things,” he said. It’s just a special player that is capable of doing things like that. It’s kind of a crazy thing to happen but it’s just a special player. The fact that he is a part of that list is not surprising.”

As the reigning American League MVP rounded the bases and was greeted by the 39,143-strong crowd at Yankee Stadium, Gleyber Torres stepped out of the batter’s box and took a curtain call.

“It was great,” Aaron Judge said with a smile on his face. It is always a pleasure to see Yankee fans show their love and appreciation for the team whenever they do. I thought that was a pretty cool moment right there.

As a result, Aaron Judge became the sixth player in franchise history to record multiple three-homerun games.

The Yankees also have four home runs by Lou Gehrig, who hit four home runs in a game against the A’s in Philadelphia in June 1926. A total of three were collected by Joe DiMaggio and Alex Rodriguez, as well as two each by Tony Lazzeri and Bobby Murcer.

Three home runs were hit in a game by a Yankees player for the 35th time.

As part of his second three-homer game of his career, Aaron Judge also doubled – both of which occurred in the past month. On August 23, he helped the Yankees end their longest losing streak since 1985 by going deep three times against Washington at home.

Judge’s first home run gave New York a 3-0 lead. After Pfaadt misplayed Oswald Peraza’s soft comebacker two batters earlier, Aaron Judge launched a first-pitch sinker into the Yankees’ bullpen in right field.

It was 6-0 after his two-run drive to right center in the fifth inning.

In 100 games this season, Aaron Judge has batted .267 with 35 home runs and 70 RBIs. On June 3, he sustained a sprain to the right big toe at Dodger Stadium, which forced him to miss nearly eight weeks of play. On July 28, he returned to the lineup.

In Aaron Judge opinion, a lot of time has been lost and a lot of opportunities have been missed.

Last season, the five-time All-Star hit 62 home runs, breaking Roger Maris’ 1961 American League record of 61.
