BANGKOK – The Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT) has organized the EXPAT FAIR THAILAND 2016 to stimulate spending among the expats residing in Thailand, promoting good relations and emphasizing the Thai identity.

TAT Governor Yuthasak Supasorn presided over the opening ceremony of the EXPAT FAIR THAILAND 2016 at Fragrance Park near BTS Thonglor station, Bangkok, and states that this event commemorates the good relations between Thais and foreigners living in Thailand.
The fair presents the experience of traveling to stimulate spending among expats residing in Thailand and express a different side of gratitude that Thais feel towards foreigners who have decided to live in Thailand.

The unique “Thai way” will be reflected through demonstrations of making the Phi Ta Khon mask, rice farming, and Thai massage. These cultural heritages will be presented to the global audience in the campaign dubbed “Discover Amazing Stories in Amazing Thailand”.

Activities in the event include audio-visual shows under the concept FOOD FUN FAIR, I LOVE THAILAND, while other aspects of the event promote Thailand’s rich cultural diversity through delicacies from all over the Kingdom and even modern trends such as Food Trucks.

Participants will be able to enjoy activities such as a Thai snacks eating contest, cooking contests and traditional Thai games during 1-2 October 2016 from 10:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m.
