Thai Government to Confirm Royal Jet is Not Govenment Owned

Seal of a bailiff on the door of a grounded Boeing 737 of the Royal Thai Air Force at the airport in Munich. Officials say the plane being used by Thailand's Crown Prince Vajiralongkorn has been impounded in Germany as part of a long-running battle over payments for a building project in Thailand

Thailand will present more documents in a German court to prove ownership of the seized Boeing 737, to demonstrate outside government, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs said yesterday.

The Attorney General’s Office today Wil submit additional documents after applying to the court for more evidence to prove ownership of the aircraft, Deputy Ministry spokesman said JESD Katavetin.

Judge Christoph Fellner said before, the court was not entirely convinced that the plane was the personal property HRH Crown Prince Maha Vajiralongkorn is, as stated by the lawyer in Thailand.

The Royal Thai Air Force said earlier that the jet presented to the Crown Prince in 2007 for his personal use.

JESD said the court would spend one or two days to consider the new set of documents and evidence submitted by the Thai authorities, before ruling on an injunction on the plane.

The Boeing, flown often by HRH the Crown Prince, was seized at Munich airport last week due to a conflict of investment between the Thai government and the German construction company Walter Bau.

The company was part of a joint venture to build the toll road from Don Muang. A row followed by the number of trafficking victims to be imposed, after which the German construction company said that contractual obligations were not met.

After years of talks, an international tribunal in Geneva, awarded U.S. Walter Bau $ 42 million (S $ 51 billion) in compensation, a decision of the Thai government refused.

The plane was hijacked by court order following a request made by the company.
