Price of Thailand Gold Down B250 to B18,400

CHIANG RAI – The Gold Traders Association this morning announced buying prices at 18,040.40 baht per baht weight for gold ornaments and 18,300 baht per baht weight for gold bar.

Selling prices were set at 18,800 baht per baht weight for gold ornaments, and 18,400 baht per baht weight for gold bar.

This means gold prices were down 250 baht from yesterday’s close.

Buying prices yesterday closed at 18,282.96 baht per baht weight for gold ornaments and 18,550 baht per baht weight of gold bar.

Selling prices closed at 19,050 baht per baht weight for gold ornaments, and 18,650 baht per baht weight for gold bar.
Meanwhile The Stock Exchange of Thailand main index went down 19.30 points, or 1.22%, to close at 1,562.84 points today.

Total trading value was 60.89 billion baht, with 19.97 billion shares changed hands.

The SET50 index ended at 1,027.89 points, down 11.58 points, or 1.11%, in trade worth 25.78 billion baht.

The MAI index went down 30.28 points, or 3.78%, to close at 771.07 points, with total transaction value of 3.79 billion baht.

Local institutions and brokers were net sellers of 338.58 million and 1.72 billion baht. Foreign and retail investors were net buyers of 1.86 billion and 200.93 million baht.
