Prayuth Lectures Thai Children on “Knowledge and Morality”


BANGKOKJunta chairman and Prime Minister Prayuth Chan-ocha has stressed the importance of education staff upholding morality and virtue, as an example for children to look up to.The Minister attached to the Prime Minister’s Office M.L. Panadda Diskul, made his remark on the topic ‘Developing morality, virtue, love, unity, and reconciliation among the Thai people’, to education staff participating in a weekend educational quality evaluation standard workshop.

He said that the vocation of education is very important as those who work in this field must be highly responsible, as the nation is in need of good governance that starts with an individual’s morality.

He mentioned that both the established mass media and individual media outlets, should also express positive information that leads to knowledge, love, and unity, among the people of the nation.

The Minister urged education staff to perform as a good role model for children, and teach children to do good things, to uphold good morals and virtue, so as to become a personal power that brings benefits to the nation in the future.

He has also added that mistakes are different from corruption; mistakes can be corrected given an opportunity for improvement, unlike corruption which is deliberately wrongful, and the two must be fully distinguished from each other.
