Mae Sai Residents Awakened by 4.7 Earthquake Near Tachileik Myanmar

The 4.7 Quake struck 36 Kilometers from Tachileik Myanmar

CHIANG RAI – The National Disaster Warning Centre reported Tuesday that an earthquake measuring 5.1 on the Richter scale hit Myanmar about 39 kilometres northeast of Mae Sai district on Tuesday afternoon.

Residents Ban Muang Daeng Village said that the quake that was about two kilometres deep, awoke residents as it shook floors and rattled windows at approximately 2:13am. No major damage was reported.
