Buriram’s Theerathon Bunmathan scores from a free-kick against Chiang Rai United

 

CHIANG RAI – In Thailand’s only match of the Premier league, Chiang Rai United lost 0-1 to Buriram United after defender Theerathon Bunmathan scored the winner from a free-kick just before half-time.

Buriram United was awarded the free-kick after Chiang Rai  United’s defender Fernando Abreu grabbed Buriram striker Diogo Santo who had gone clear, the foul also saw Brazilian Fernando sent off the feild.

With the win, Buriram moved to third, one point behind Army United and Bangkok Glass.

Today, Suphanburi will host Muang Thong United in the biggest clash of the weekend.

Both are confident that they will extend their unbeaten run.
