CHIANG RAI –  Anurat Inthorn President of Chiang Rai’s Chamber of Commerce told memeber of the media that the Chiang Rai signed an memorandum of understanding (MoU) with Myanmar’s Shan State in bid to promote trade and investment between the two countries.

Mr. Anurat Inthorn said he signed the MoU alongside representatives of the four chambers of commerce of Shan State, saying the MoU was aimed to promote trade, investment, tourism, agriculture, education, labor, culture and technology between the two countries.

The MoU signing was witnessed by Chiang Rai provincial governor Boonsong Techamaneesathit and officials of the chambers of commerce as well as Thai and Myanmar businesspersons.
