Bullet for My Valentine Begin Recording New Album in Thailand

Welsh metal titans Bullet for My Valentine have just entered a studio in Thailand

CHIANGRAI TIMES Welsh metal titans Bullet for My Valentine have just entered a studio in Thailand to begin the recording process for their fourth full-length album. Earlier today (Feb. 15), front man Matt Tuck tweeted a picture of drummer Michael “Moose” Thomas laying down drums for the yet-untitled upcoming album.

Having exploded onto the scene in 2005 with their ‘Hand of Blood’ EP and their first studio album ‘The Poison,’ Bullet for My Valentine have sold millions of albums all over the world. Tuck shared his excitement for the tracking of this new record on the band’s Twitter page. “Moose tracking the first song right now!! Sounds incredible!! MT.”

Bullet for My Valentine’s third and latest album ‘Fever’ sold half-a-million albums worldwide and was praised by BFMV guitarist Michael “Padge” Paget in a recent interview with Lithium Magazine. “[Fever] is definitely where we wanted to go as a band and it’s definitely the right record when it comes to maturing,” says Padge. “It’s the third album; it’s definitely where we wanted to go and has taken us where we want to be.”

Padge continued, “It’s ticking all the boxes so far and hopefully the next record does the same thing . . . We strive to write great songs and I think ‘Fever’ comes across as a great album, not just songs, and a complete album. You can sit down and listen to the whole thing as opposed to ‘Scream, Aim, Fire’. We tried to take it back to the roots to the ‘Poison’ sort of thing on the new album, if you know what I mean.”

Stay tuned for more coverage on the recording of Bullet for My Valentine’s fourth album.
