Australian Hells Angels Bikers Surrender to Pattaya Police after Assaulting Two Thai Nationals
PATTAYA – Two members of the Hell’s Angels “biker” gang turned themselves in to tourist police in Pattaya Friday morning to acknowledge charges that they assaulted two Thai men.
They were identified as Daniel Anthony Stalley, 34, and John Lee, 43, both from Australian. Pattaya police questioned them for about two hours during which they agreed to compensate their two victims, Natthapong Pooncharoen and Ponrat Chartbut, Bt150,000 for damages.
The two Australians also agreed to pay a third man, Nopparat Prakongyos, Bt5000 after claims he was chased by the duo and that one of them was wielding a knife.
Pol Col Apichai Krobpet, superintendent of Pattaya police, said they were awaiting medical reports from the hospital about the condition of the two assault victims and whether the injuries were serious or not.
He said that if the condition was serious, the case could not be settled and the two Australain Hell’s Angels would have to return to the police for additional charges.
